【News】Taiwan Shines at the 2025 International Mathematical Olympiad!
(Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of China (Taiwan)) At the 66th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) held this July on the Sunshine Coast, Australia, Taiwan's six-student team brought home 2 golds, 2 silvers, 1 bronze, and 1 honorable mention, ranking 20th among 110 participating countries and 630 contestants. What an outstanding performance!
Special congratulations to Lee Tian-Hui (Kaohsiung Municipal Kaohsiung Senior High School) and Lu Pin-Chun (Taipei Municipal Jianguo High School), who both earned gold medals and tied for 27th place overall!
Taiwan's delegation was selected from 1,813 students nationwide and trained by a team of over 20 professors from top universities. The team was led by Associate Professors from National Taiwan Normal University and National Tsing Hua University and National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University with support from former IMO medalists and academic experts.
This remarkable achievement highlights Taiwan’s excellence in STEM education and fosters international friendship and academic exchange. Congratulations to all our brilliant young minds and dedicated mentors!
