Beixin Elementary School integrates humanistic, digital, ecological, and active lifestyle curriculum features, cultivating an outstanding curriculum with a focus on smart maker cloud green living. We are committed to creating a teaching environment that incorporates information technology, digital skills, maker education, and the core principles of the twelve-year national education system, as well as resources from smart leading schools. These resources are deeply applied in interactive teaching on-site. Additionally, our community teachers frequently engage in experience sharing at other schools.
Our community partners hope to continue promoting quality teaching activities on the foundation of excellence, leading more teachers to participate in education. Up to now, various teacher professional communities have organized numerous observations, discussions, district-level, and city-level teaching demonstrations. These are complemented with various teaching strategies and techniques, such as learning communities, cooperative learning, and independent learning models. The instructional content aligns with current trends, such as SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) for lifelong education, with a focus on core values including diversity, inclusion, and leaving no one behind, to develop students' problem-solving abilities (Hsu Chia-chi, 2021), and to become active practitioners of citizenship in the future classroom.
Operating in a mode of group learning (Study), leading by example (Model), and team reflection (Reflection), teachers in the professional community mutually benefit from collaborative preparation, learning, and sharing, and conduct exemplary teaching through public observations. Finally, group discussions and reflections take place through physical or digital remote discussions.
