Sheng Kung was originally founded in Tianjin, China, in 1914, but was forced to leave during the Chinese Civil War. The school was re-founded in Tainan, Taiwan, in 1964. Sheng Kung is a private, all-girls Catholic school. Our school has a great academic reputation and is known for its emphasis on holistic education. Due to our founding by the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception, an order of nuns that has also opened schools in Germany, the US, Brazil, Namibia, and the Philippines, our school has a distinctive international perspective.

Sheng Kung Girls’ High School is dedicated to a grand educational mission which cultivates human hearts based on God’s universal love.
We educate students to be grateful and to be responsible in their service to others and; to the community.
We cultivate our young ladies to be rooted in Taiwan seeking a global view; to pursue excellence while striving to acquire an elegant demeanor.
