Minquan Elementary School was founded on August 1st, 1971, and in the first year, we admitted 13 classes of students, under the leadership of the first principal, Mr. Lin Chiu-cheng. With the rapid development of the Minsheng community, the number of classes increased to 48 in 1976, then to 68 in 1977. There were 82 classes in1996. Currently, there are 52 classes and the number of students exceeds one thousand and three hundreds. Our current principal is Ms. Kung Wen-ching, who holds the educational philosophy of "education is about life and love," "to make every learner able," and "the most truthful recorder of a school is its students!" We hope to create a campus filled with "songs, laughter, and the sound of reading," and to provide every child with a rich and happy childhood.
Our school is located in the Minsheng community, a model community in Taipei City. With the advantage of its location, we have created a beautiful campus environment that blends seamlessly with the community. In recent years, with the assistance of parent volunteers, we have devoted ourselves to beautifying and greening the campus, making it a refreshing and colorful learning space.
From our founding as a diverse and liberal school, we have developed into a school with a vision of "diversity, vitality, forward-thinking, and excellence," striving for lean and high-quality teaching goals. Our campus offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities, such as the National Music Orchestra, Chorus, Recorder Club, Wind Band, String Orchestra, Swimming Team, Table Tennis Team, Tennis Team, Track and Field Team, Badminton Team, and Astronomy Club, providing students with opportunities to learn and showcase their skills outside of their academic studies. As a result, our school has achieved excellent teaching results, and our alumni have shown outstanding performance in further education and various fields of society.
