A brief history of Sihu senior high school
Founded in 1998, Sihu Senior High School (HHSH) is the first comprehensive high school in Taiwan that provides both academic studies and vocational courses by expert teachers. HHSH is a comprehensive three-year public senior high school. It is located in Changhua County, which is in central Taiwan. Currently, it has a total of 45 classes, nearly 1600 students, and about 150 teachers and staff members.
Individual variation based on students' multiple intelligences and distinct temperaments is our concern. Our school provides selected courses and various activities, such as musical performances, artistic courses, linguistics courses, natural sciences, and wind ensemble training. These courses have brought about fruitful outcomes for students. With all the efforts made to offer the best resources, we have exposed students to adequate preparation for future careers.
Academic system
Our school system is designed as a comprehensive high school, emphasizing a student-centered teaching approach. Through ample exploration and guidance, we aim to help students plan their future, assist in their individual development, inspire their potential, and enjoy the pleasure of learning. Our ultimate educational goal is to enable students to achieve self-realization while aligning with the humanistic education spirit valued by the current global trend.
In the first year of high school, there are common courses for all students. From the second year onwards, students are streamed according to their aptitudes and interests. There are five programs for students to choose from, including academic-social sciences, academic-natural sciences, applied English, business services, and tourism and catering.
Generally speaking, our school has 15 classes in the integrated program for Grade 10 before the division, and after the division (Grade 11 and 12), there are 12 classes for the academic-social sciences, 12 classes for the academic-natural sciences, 2 classes for the business service program, 2 classes for the applied English program, and 2 classes for the tourism and catering program.

Different courses and exams are provided for each program to meet their interests and to prepare them for undergraduate programs.
Extracurricular Activities
At present, HHSH has 33 student clubs, including sports teams, a street dance club, a scout club, a pop music band, a badminton club, etc. In the 10th and 11th grades, students can choose one club to join. There are seven 100-minute official club activity periods per semester.
