Our school was originally the vocational department of Fujian Provincial kinmen Senior High School. In order to enhance vocational education in the region, the school relocated to its current site in 1975. To further cultivate manpower for various grassroots construction projects, accelerate economic development, and elevate cultural standards, it was officially established as an independent school on August 1, 1981, under the approval of the Ministry of Education. It was named "Fujian Provincial Kinmen Senior Agricultural and Industrial Vocational School" and took on the important role of regional vocational education. On July 1, 1984, it received approval to be transferred to the national level, a development that brought great honor to all the staff and students. Since becoming an independent school, our school has gradually expanded in size, and our faculty and equipment have become increasingly enriched.
The school began offering subjects in 1962, initially with a focus on agronomy science. Admissions were temporarily halted, but they resumed in 1969. In 1970, a commerce subject was introduced, in 1972 it opened programs such as fishing and electrical engineering, and in 1975 it successively opened sections such as marine engineering, rural home economics, electronics, agricultural machinery, breeding, mechanics, and food processing. Later, to adapt to socioeconomic developments and the availability of teaching staff, the agricultural machinery and marine engineering programs were transformed into automotive engineering (automobile science) programs, the rural home economics was restructured into a home economics program, the food processing program was discontinued due to staffing issues, and the class of agricultural economics was transformed into a horticulture program. In 2006, in alignment with regional development in the field of tourism and to facilitate the integration of advanced technologies, the department of Restaurant Management and Computer Science was established.
Currently, the school offers programs in Horticulture, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Restaurant Management, Business Affairs, Fishery, Aquaculture, Home Economics, and Continuing Education. Our school is the only vocational school in Kinmen County, with an approximate student population of over 800.
