Founded in 1995, Hsin-Chuang High School (HCHS) is located in northern Kaohsiung and its campus covers an area of 7.07 hectares. There are 39 regular classes composed of 1545 students with faculty and staff members of 127 in the school.
The school was established with modern buildings containing purpose-built facilities. There are 46 general classrooms, 78 specialized classrooms and 27 administrative offices. There are two to three specialized classrooms for each subject including Chinese, English, society, music, geology, computer, housekeeping, fine arts, living technology, national defense education and health care. Two laboratories are provided for physics, chemistry and biology classes respectively.
The school is equipped with some venues, such as assembly hall, libraries, aerobics classrooms, group counseling rooms, badminton rooms and billiards rooms, outdoor sports venues, sports fields, basketball courts, tennis courts and barbecue areas that are intended for large-scale events.
General activity center has been built to cater to multiple needs. It contains standard comprehensive stadium, sports equipment room, weight training room, audio-visual classroom and club classroom.
Through visionary leadership of the principals and continued effort of its faculties, Hsin-Chuang Senior High School has become a cradle that fosters students with global vision, caring hearts and initiative-taking attitudes.
With the emergence of globalization, our school has offered various foreign language courses since 2007 for students to become global citizens and life-long learners. The selection of the courses includes six languages (German, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Thai and Vietnamese).

I. Focus of Development
1. Promote multiple course developments, teacher communities and science education to effectively improve students’ competitiveness.
2. Offer foreign language courses (Japanese, Korean, Spanish, German, Vietnamese, and Thai) and establish strategic alliance partners with universities at home and abroad to refine students’ learning quality.
3. Hold a Model United Nations activity for students to understand the schedule of an international meeting and to train students’ English oral expression skills.
4. Promote international exchanges to expand students’ learning perspectives: encourage students to take part in the international correspondence exchange with American students from Troy high school and the exchange programs with schools from Japan and Korea.
5. Continuously promote the evaluation of teachers' professional development, improve teachers’ teaching profession, develop teacher communities, and effectively strengthen teaching performances.
6. Hold parent-teacher educational forums and publish counseling periodicals to build the parent-teacher communication platform.
7. Focus on individualized special education and differential teaching methods to create a friendly learning environment.
8. Expand library reading areas and purchase additional book collections year by year, and encourage students to join online reading clubs and essay writing competitions.
9. Plan school-based curricula, multiple selective courses, and inquiry and practice courses in accordance with the new 108 Curriculum.
10. Strengthen the cooperation with universities and colleges to promote the teaching strategies of subject courses; enhance information education and utilize social resources to cultivate versatile talents.
II. School Performances
1. The academic performance of students has been improved year by year and the university entrance examinations for previous graduates have obtained outstanding results.
2. The school’s enrollment rate to national universities has reached a new high in recent years and the number of students entering top-notch universities has been on the rise constantly.
3. Over the past decade, the school’s teaching of Chinese language has shown significant results that students received distinction awards and honors in Chinese language contests of Kaohsiung city under the teachers’ guidance and instructions.
4. In recent years, the school’s teaching of English has achieved outstanding results that students obtained excellent awards in national English vocabulary contests. Furthermore, students also performed well in English writing and speech contests.
5. Incentives have been provided to encourage students to learn different foreign languages autonomously and obtain language certificates.
6. Reinforce the courses of science experiments and effectively increase students’ abilities to conduct experiments.
7. Provide various counseling services and offer students adaptive career counseling process to help them make suitable career plans and decisions.
8. Organize various educational activities to enhance character education and lead students to participate in different volunteering services to foster their moral virtues.
III. Student Clubs
To develop students’ various talents, the school has organized diverse student clubs and activities which take place every other Thursday afternoon.
