Smart Classrooms
A smart classroom is a digitally supported classroom with high-tech teaching aids. Digitization enables automation, which in turn enhances teachers’ efficiency and opens up space for their professional development. Smart classrooms also raise students’ understanding of ICT as well as their creative skills. At Da You, every classroom is a smart classroom filled with devices that make our students learn more, better, and faster.
ICT and Science
At Da You, we value ICT and science education. Therefore we have a school club dedicated to robotics (the Lego Robot Club) and a machinery club as well as camps on these topics from time to time. Our students also join contests off-campus, where they perform well. Our school also has 3D printers that teachers turn to make students’ ideas into reality, and learn from that.
Campus TV
To promote reading on campus, every Wednesday at noon, our students broadcast their Noon Chat campus TV program. The little braodcasters and presenters introduce upcoming campus events and recommend books they think worth reading. It encourages teachers and students to make good use of the library, constantly absorb new knowledge, and cultivate the habit of reading.
School Clubs
Our school has a large number of innovative clubs that cover a wide range of interesting programs such as art, humanities, ICT, science, sports, and language. Students can also study wind instruments, string instruments, softball, basketball, snooker, cheerleading, MV dance, robotics, science enrichment, English enrichment, Japanese, go, scouting, guided tours along the monuments and ecology of Hutou Mountain, English Typing, AR applications, indigenous languages, magic, guitar, campus journalism, Zen, and many other activities to choose from.
10-minute Talent Shows
Every Wednesday, after the second class, there’s a 10-minute open stage for individual students or groups to sing, dance, stage a scene or mini play, show some magic, play music, show roller-skating tricks, or anything they want to show. The school provides the stage, while the students show their creativity and learning outcomes; it stimulates their potential. Da You has been certified as an art-focused school since 2008, and the 10-minute open stage has been running uninterrupted ever since to the delight of teachers and students alike.
