14.學校簡史 School's Brief history

Our school is located in Ziguan District, Kaohsiung City, and adjacent to Okayama Air Base in the north. About 85% of the parents' occupations are agriculture, fishing and workers. It is a typical rural junior school.
The following is the brief introduction of the school history:
1.September 1966: Independent as Kaohsiung Ziguan Middle School, Guanghai Zhang was the first principal.
2. September 1968: It was reorganized into Ziguan Junior High School in Kaohsiung County, and the school district included Ziguan district and Mituo district.
3. September 1973: Established Mituo Branch.
4. September 1975: Mituo Branch became independent as Mituo Junior High School.
5. September 1977: Mr. Longming Zhang was appointed as the second principal.
6. August 1982: Mr. Senhuang Cai, Director of the Education Bureau of the Kaohsiung County Government, was appointed as the third principal.
7. May 1986: The swimming pool was completed.
8. August 1988: The night continuing school was established.
9. March 1989: Ms. Bailan Huang, the principal of Qishan Junior High School, was appointed as the fourth principal.
10. May 1989: Excellent performance in life education, designated by Ministry of Education to hold demonstration of life education in Kaohsiung County and Pingtung County.
11. July 1989: The activity center( Yao-Chun Hall) with a capacity of 3,000 people was opened.
12. July 1990: Eight more classes were add to the seventh grade, the total number of classes in the school reached 68, and eight additional classrooms were built.
13. July 1991: There were 72 classes in the whole school.
14. February 1993: Preparation for. Ms. Huang Bailan, the principal of Ziguan Junior High school, is also the director of Keliao Junior High School.
15. August 1993: Special education class was established.
16. August 1995 : Keliao Elementary school was assigned to Keliao Junior High School, and the class number of Ziguan Junior High School was reduced to 55.
17. August 1997: Keliao Junior High School was fully established, and the classes of Ziguan Junior High School was reduced to 38 classes.
18. August 1998: Yinjia Zhang from Yongan Junior High School was designated as the fifth principal
19. August 1999: Zheyuan Huang from Alian Junior High School was designated as the sixth principal.
20. August 2007, Juan Ye from Fengshan Junior High School was designated as the seventh principal of the school.
22. August 2014: Lixia Zhao from Xingguo Junior High School was designated as the eighth principal of the school.
23. September 2014: New school buildings and the library were completed.
24. August 2020: Weixin Chen from Dashe Junior High School was designated as the ninth principal of the school.
The curriculum vision of Ziguan Middle School: Cultivate students to become a "qualified" future citizen, and have the basic learning ability of "Yunwen Yunwu", and turn what they have learned into "love the hometown and cross-international" nutrients, and finally "self-realization" in a world of harmony, harmony and vitality.

1. Strive for the resources of the parents' association. To encourage students’ academic performance, we hold breakfast meeting for outstanding students and progressive students with principals and presidents and presidents every academic year.
2. Set up the LINE group of parents' association and the Facebook fan page of Ziguan Junior High School to pass on the school activities and share students' learning performance. Through the social media, we enhance the interaction between the communities and school.
3. Community parents participate in the school volunteer team. They assist in the management of the school library and help deal library borrowing. They also help to maintain the campus greening.
4. Ziguan Branch of Kaohsiung Municipal Library provides service to go to school and hold activity to promote reading every semester.
5. Cooperate with the Air Force Technical School to hold the aviation recreation camp to cultivate students' spirit of “Makers”.
6. Local enterprises sponsor school education funds every year to improve school teaching equipment.
7. Corporate with The Language Training & Testing Center (LTTC) to hold General English Proficiency Test (GEPT) right in the school. This not only provide opportunity for students to self-challenge, but also offer a nearby place for students to participate the test.
8. The construction of campus solar panels with Global Universe Solar Energy Industry Co., Ltd. not only slows down the sun exposure to the school buildings but also increases the school's rental income and rises the school's self-financing resources.
9. Organize the activities of “loving the elderly and loving reunion”. Introduce the Animal Protection Association, World Vision, Friends
Friends Foundation, Huashan Foundation, and other community resources. Provide preventive counseling activities such as educational and career planning.
10. Selected as "Reading Mark School" for five consecutive years. Actively create a reading atmosphere in the school and cultivate students' self-esteem. Through reading, students find fun and achievement.
11. Implement teachers' intensive learning community for three consecutive years to strengthen the professional development mechanism of teachers in the school.
12. Work on remedial teaching with Ziguan Elementary School and Boyou Foundation to achieve a seamless complementarity. This can enrich the teachers' teaching material and thus increase students' learning effectiveness.
13. The school building has obtained green building marks, and the classrooms are equipped with air conditioners, projectors, wi-fi system and silent public broadcasting system.
14. For two consecutive years, it has been awarded the Three Good Campus Marks, with the promotion and implementation of moral education, we educate students with the spirit of “whole person” as the goal.
15. Established a sports class, develop multiple clubs, actively cultivate students multiple intelligences.
16. The swimming pool with standard specifications is set up in the school, so that students can enjoy the convenience of the place. The promotion of swimming teaching is easier and smoother.
17. Implement the educational idea of taking care of each student. Hold technical and vocational education courses, flexible fitness courses, unclassified resource classes, centralized special teaching classes, so that students with different needs can learn and meet their need according to their aptitude.
18. The counseling team has strong proficiency and accompanies children on the road of growth with love and hope.
19. Bilingual education is integrated in teaching and school life. Some teachers are trained for bilingual teaching and help students to learn more English in non-English classes. Students can attend bilingual clubs after school.
