St. Giri Senior Secondary school is a co-Educational institution established in 1968 by Founder Chairman Late Shri Harvir Giri who believed in holistic way of providing education in congenial environment. The school was recognized in 1988 by the Directorate of Education. The school is affiliated with CBSE. The school owes its cosmopolitan character to the fact that students come from different walks of life. The endeavour is to impart quality education to students to make them competent enough to match with International requirements in all the scenarios. Principal of the school Mrs. Sanyogita Giri, is a person with eminent personality with highly creative and intellectual capabilities. Her diligence and dedication won many accolades for the school. She has always been proactive in providing specific resourcing to promote student learning and is highly focused on improvement. The school encourages the students to embrace the challenges of learning as sustenance for their minds, bodies and spirits. St. Giri Senior secondary school has Spacious & digital class rooms and laboratories with ultra-modern equipment and audio-visual aids. Various clubs like astronomy club, eco club, hobby club, literary club are available in school wherein students participate according to their interest, skills and aptitude which ensure their cognitive, motor and psychomotor development with enhancement of their personality. To shape up the overall personality with academics, numerous co-curricular activities like debates, extempore, team teaching, peer tutoring, simulation etc. are organized. School has also access to technology in general classrooms for brain storming and Mastery learning sessions.
To ensure healthy environment regular counselling sessions are arranged in school to acquaint students with psychological concerns and to enable them to deal with bullying, peer pressure and unfavourable situations.
