New Taipei Industrial Vocational High School was established in 1970, including eleven departments—Machinery, Casting, Auto Mechanics, Mold, Mechanical Drafting, Electronic Engineering/Electronic, Data Processing, Special Education, Applied Foreign Language, Computer Science and Physical Education. Moreover, the subsidiary of Continuing Education School was offered for the purpose of fulfilling the credo on lifetime education. Also, Continuing Education Center was founded.

Since its establishment, the presidents have spared no effort in the development of administrative affairs at school, bringing up quite a few industrial-technology talents. After taking over, the current president has been putting more emphasis on cultivating humanistic spirit, inspiring the students to have life concerns. When it comes to the aims at developing administrative affairs and cultivating the students, hopefully, high emphasis is paid on the balanced development between advanced study and career options to accomplish both humanity and technology. To match up high-quality appropriate development in education, NTVS’ future prospects are “High-Quality —Excellence in Education” and “Appropriateness—Whole-Person Education."
