In May 1980, Principal Tie-Jun Wang prepared for the establishment of our school as Jinhe Junior High School, with a campus area of 3.5193 hectares. In August 1998, it was restructured as Taipei County Jinhe Senior High School, offering both junior and senior high school education and began enrolling senior high school students. In October 2000, it was renamed as "Taipei County Jinhe Senior High School" by order. In September 2001, it was approved to establish a high school extension department. In December 2010, it was restructured and renamed as "New Taipei City Jinhe Senior High School." In 2014, two additional senior high school classes were added, making a total of 30 senior high school classes by 2016. We currently have a total of 82 classes, including 52 junior high school classes and 30 senior high school classes.

Our School Vision focuses on cultivating multiple intelligences, inspiring creative thinking, fostering elegant character, and broadening international perspectives. This will be elaborated as below.
Multiple intelligences:
With a focus on systematic thinking and problem-solving, we cultivate students' diverse learning abilities in reading, reasoning, and expression. In the junior high division, we design interdisciplinary flexible learning courses, promote reading education, career exploration, and after-school learning assistance programs. In the senior high division, we develop multidisciplinary elective courses; we also provide enrichment courses in alternative learning period so that students can fully explore their interests.
Creative Thinking:
Innovation capability and technology application are the main focus to stimulate students' creative and technological application abilities. Therefore, we use this as the foundation to promote maker education, programming experience, and technology-integrated teaching in the junior high division. While in the senior high school division, we integrate augmented reality and virtual reality into social domain courses, inquiry and practice, as well as computational thinking courses.
Elegant Character:
To elevate students' character and aesthetic appreciation abilities, we use civic consciousness and aesthetic education as the foundation to promote character education and cultivate a refined temperament in various life situations. We put great emphasis on this and have planned service learning, volunteer service, club activities and community activities accordingly.
International Perspective:
To broaden students' global perspective and raise their cross-cultural awareness, we focus on cultivating their empathy and humanitarian concern and equipping them with international communication skills. We also promote international and bilingual education; thus, we employ foreign teachers for bilingual co-teaching in junior high school. While in senior high school, we integrate SDGs into diverse elective courses, and offer second foreign language courses in Japanese, Korean, French and German. We also organize exhibitions concerning human rights and important global issues.
What's also worth mentioning is that we also put much effort into the development of sports. It has been 22 years since the establishment of our sport talent class in the senior high division. We have four teams: handball, track and field, judo, and basketball and have achieved excellent results in various competitions over the years. We have professional coaches as well as well-planned sports facilities and training venues. To provide a more consistent training for promising athletes, in 2017 we established sport talent class in our junior division; meanwhile, Jinhe Elementary School followed suit. In brief, we have been providing resources to improve and refine the quality of students' academic learning and sports training, aiming to cultivate more outstanding athletes with both academic and athletic excellence in New Taipei City.
