Ta-Ming Senior high school, also known as TMSH, was founded in 1964 and initially named Taichung County Ta-Ming Junior high school. The school has gone through several transformations in the past 56 years. In 1990, it was renamed as “Private Ta-Ming Senior High School” with 9 departments in vocational division and 7 continuing education division departments. In 2016, the Tanzi Art Campus was inaugurated.
For 56 years, with the consistent efforts made by principals and teachers, Ta-Ming Senior High School has become one of the the best academic high schools in Taichung. As the graduates are admitted to ideal colleges and then devote themselves in the society, many excellent junior high school students choose to attend Ta-Ming Senior High School. The motto of the school is as follows: sincerity, sociability, aesthetics and wisdom. We also carry out the spirit of " Sincerity is the foundation of everything", which is the motto of our Honorary Chairman, Chi-Cheng, Liao.

We put emphasis on high academic achievements and we pay attentions to students’ individual needs. Our aim is to instill positive and confident attitudes that help students to be persistent in their studies and day-to-day lives. We are preparing students for the future they imagine by equipping them with good knowledge, excellent skills and exceptional character that help them to thrive in our ever-changing world.
In Tanzi Art Campus, we offer the most comprehensive Arts and Crafts, Advertisement Design and Multimedia Animation program of any school in Taichung. The heart of this program is fostering a learning environment where all students feel welcome to exhibit their creativity. It also gives students the opportunity to share ideas and emotions that cannot be expressed in words alone. Through technique training, certification exams and winning competitions, we help students to build up great resumes and become Taiwanese local design talents.
TMSH is a place for discovery and growth, where students are encouraged to take risks, try new things, and learn what their passions are in life. To complement our framework, a variety of student supports and extracurricular activities are offered to enrich their school journey, such as Mountain Wilderness Camp, Youth Summit Summer Camp and international trips to sister schools. We provide a nurturing platform for the development of teamwork, self-esteem and school spirit, so students learn not only skills but develop life-long attitudes through participating in a vibrant activities program.
