Guideline of School Development:
Development of school curriculum and cloud adoption framework
Ocean education has been a core theme for the past nine years, and our school has continually deepened and expanded its curriculum and structure around this topic. Moreover, we arrange for our eighth-grade students to participate in outdoor explorations and challenges related to ocean education to foster a more diverse and enriched learning experience. It is with great pride that we share our success in this area, as our school has received various awards related to ocean education in recent years.

j. Our school's natural science and physical education teachers designed a weekly "Ocean Heart" course for seventh-grade students, which combines the 108 curriculum and school-based ocean education. The course structure includes ocean safety, marine ecology and conservation, and the causes and effects of marine waste.
Starting from the 2014 academic year, each subject area established a school-based ocean education curriculum framework according to its unique subject characteristics and teaching goals. The curriculum focuses on ocean education as the main theme and develops different teaching or activity contents with a unified central idea. Through field experiences or ocean visits, the curriculum is made more lively and diverse.
Our school is one of the smart schools in New Taipei City. In addition to planning the overall digital learning environment and developing teacher communities, we also integrate technology into the curriculum to enhance teaching. Since the 2012-2013 academic year, our school's locally developed marine education curriculum has also been combined with cloud-based experimental projects and the use of tablet computers to explore more diverse directions in mobile learning and curriculum development. From the 2015-2016 to the 2018-2019 academic years, students were responsible for designing levels as game masters and to explain the game to seventh grade students, enhancing their ability to express themselves and solve problems.

"Integrating different fields and establishing teacher communities to activate teaching on-site:
(1) In the 2021 academic year, our school applied for the International Education Cross-School Community and incorporated international education into our courses such as "Walking on Zhinan Road," "FUN Taiwan," "Praising Celebration," and "Climbing the Steps of Music." We also applied for collaborative teaching with foreign teachers. In the 2022 academic year, we further applied for SIEP and school internationalization plans, aiming to build an internationalized campus and activate teaching on-site.
(2) From 2015 to 2018, at least one teacher from our school visited Japan annually to observe and learn from their teaching community. They brought back the experience and applied it in our school. Teachers who visited Japan during 2016-2018 also conducted city-level open-class observation in the second semester to practice quiet classroom learning. In the 2018 academic year, with the encouragement of the Education Bureau, six teachers from our school participated in city-level class observation, and they attended multiple sessions of joint preparation, observation, and discussion before the observation. The Education Bureau also invited Professor Tomonori Ichinagi from Niigata University in Japan to observe and study a class in our school on the day of the observation. From 2019 to 2022, 100% of our teachers have opened their classes for observation."
(3) In response to the new 2019 curriculum guidelines, we have continued to apply for funding to promote self-directed and innovative teaching practices among our school teachers in the 2022 academic year. Additionally, we have applied for funding to deepen research in other fields relevant to our school's attributes.
(4) We place great emphasis on nurturing students' multiple intelligences and encourage them to develop a variety of skills. We have established diverse clubs to provide students with a platform for self-realization.
(5) Rugby is a key club in our school, and we prioritize not only the development of rugby skills but also the cultivation of character. Our players strive for both athletic and ethical excellence, and after 22 years of development, our club has achieved numerous awards. In 2014, 2015, and 2019, we won the National Chung Cheng Cup, the 70th National Rugby Championship, and the National Sevens Championship, respectively, achieving the "Triple Crown" of national championships. Furthermore, to promote the sport of rugby and allow every student to experience it, we have dedicated ourselves to promoting "tag rugby." In the 2016 school year, our school was rated "excellent" in the evaluation of the Ministry of Education's physical education curriculum for promoting "tag rugby."
(6) In the promotion of traditional arts, our school has established traditional puppetry and percussion clubs as our unique features. Both clubs are often invited to perform at important community or school celebrations. Our puppetry club has won the "Outstanding Traditional Puppet" award at the Ministry of Education's National Creative Puppet Competition for six consecutive years up to the 2019 academic year. Our percussion club has also won the "Excellent" award at the Transmitted Art Cup Folk Art Skills Competition for four consecutive years from 2017 to 2021.
(7) We offer around 20 clubs every year for 7th and 8th grade students to choose from, allowing everyone to develop their potential as much as possible. In addition, we arrange various clubs or student teams to perform on special occasions or holidays, providing them with a stage to showcase their talents and building their self-confidence.
(8) We promote resource sharing through strategic alliances among clubs and foster school-based clubs to take root in the community. Club teachers and equipment support each other. Our rugby team coaches also support Sanzhi Elementary School to establish a "tag rugby" club and provide the necessary teaching support, equipment, and rugby balls.
(9) To promote the inheritance of traditional culture, our puppetry club, "Xue Wan Ran," cooperates with the Li Tian-Lu Puppetry Museum in teacher training and venue use, with most members from the Xue Wan Ran team at Sanzhi Elementary School. This support enables students to continue to receive systematic, professional, and refined training in puppetry after entering junior high school.
(10) Establish skill-based clubs to allow students who cannot participate in skill-based courses to continue exploring their interests. Offer after-school cooking classes to disadvantaged students, providing them with legitimate activities after school and allowing them to share their achievements with their families.
(11) Make good use of internal resources, combine parent associations, volunteer teams, and alumni to provide students with richer and more diverse career development experiences to achieve the goal of adaptive counseling. Utilize external resources to match nearby high schools, technical colleges, and vocational schools to provide student counseling and career exploration work in a diverse way. In addition to the whole grade career visit, withdrawal visits are also organized to explore student career interests in a more refined manner.
(12) Cooperate with nearby high schools, technical colleges, and vocational schools: Collaborate with Mackay Medical College to implement the "Zhimei Companion Reading" program, which sends Mackay medical college students to guide students on campus or through online video to solve academic problems. Sign a "Strategic Alliance Agreement" with Taipei University of Marine Technology, and teachers assist in providing marine course experiences at our school. Cooperate with St. John's University of Science and Technology, Taipei University of Marine Technology, Jinshan High School, and Tamsui Commercial and Industrial Vocational School to invite high school and college teachers to our school to allow students to experience career courses.
