With the establishment of the first comprehensive university in New Taipei City, the government of New Taipei City drafted “National Taipei University Special Zoning District Plan.” Including Long Pu elementary school, the plan aims to establish National Taipei University, two junior high schools and two elementary schools.

2012 Enrolling students from first grade to sixth grade

In the 104th academic year (2016), Long Pu elementary school consists of 49 classes, 3 classes of kindergarten and English Wonderland Long Pu Campus.
Long Pu elementary school received many architectural awards for the construction and education elements which are incorporated in the school buildings.
New Taipei Educational City was set up in Sanxia District. Education becomes one of the main cores of city development. Long Pu elementary school partnerships were built up with several universities; educational groups from universities, America, Japan, China etc. visit Long Pu elementary school. Long Pu elementary school was ratified as an experimental bilingual teaching school.
In addition, Long Pu elementary also assist New Taipei Government in principal training, English education, professional community and e-book projects.

(A) Green and sustainable campus: The campus is intensely focused on environmental integration and architectural aesthetics. The school has the largest number of the solar panels in the nation. The other green systems include green roof, rainwater recycling system, green fence, reused materials building, sloping roofs, forest ecological zones, grassy slopes, aquatic pool, and the biodiversity area. The school is full of the symbols of environmental and sustainable features. Moreover, the school is also built according to the art of oriental architectural artistry.
(B) Information and cloud technology: Every classroom has a projector, an electrical whiteboard, a kind projector, and broadcasting equipment for teaching. The school has two computer labs, a centralized teaching resources system, video selecting system, wireless environment, and digital student ID card. Those resources will be combined with tablet PCs and e-books to develop cloud Learning.
(C) Critical reading education: Set up a 400 square meters Eslite style library. The teaching team will plan to introduce students to good books for reading, shared reading, Analects reading, newspapers reading, and to build up their reading passport. Activities include listening to stories, monthly author face to face, book sharing, guided writing, and reader’s theater will also be brought up.
(D) Bilingual Education: The campus has set up an international educational center, research and English curriculum design department, and two language classrooms. Furthermore, there are also ten professional English teachers. In addition, we also hire foreign teachers and set up English clubs, remedial classes and English camps.
(E) Parent-teacher community development: Focus on activity courses and encourage using school’s environment resources for teaching. Emphasize team learning between teachers, school administers and volunteers. Use social curriculum to develop and to grow professional skill, to support learning.
(F)Diverse education: We create a platform for students to exhibit their works and performances. Moreover, we design diverse activities such as artistic shows, learning carnivals, extracurricular activities, winter camps, and summer camps with the resources from the University and community. We also encourage students to do community service to enhance their practical social abilities.
