Due to the impact on face to face activities by COVID-19, the Ministry of Education of Taiwan launched the IEW platform this year, helping Taiwan Schools to match foreign schools for international exchange activities.
Exchanges via video call between Pingtung Municipal Wandan Junior High School and Hanyoung Foreign Language High school on June 8th , and with Sanbon Middle School June 20th can be seen in the photo.
On the day of June 20th , students from both schools shared their point of views after reading “A Long Walk to Water”. Not only building confidence on English reading, but also got better understandings of SDGs.
Even in the midst of the epidemic, through exchanges, students can still acquire international perspectives and learn to view their own lives and environment from the perspective of global citizens.
