(一)Reflections on Social Entrepreneurship 社會創業個人省思
Luna I want to develop enterprises focused on sustainable practices, such as recycling programs, renewable energy solutions, or eco-friendly product manufacturing. I plan to introduce practical projects where students develop and execute business ideas, such as organizing school events, starting small businesses within the school community, or creating marketing campaigns for school initiatives. |
Katy The type of social enterprise that I may be interested in developing is animal adopting or rescuing abandoned animals. We could develop our entrepreneurial skills in our school life by cultivating our creative thinking skills and encourage innovative problem-solving. Moreover, setting up projects or presentations that helps us develop our deep thinking and public speaking skills. |
Tina From the experiences I’ve been through, I'd like to focus on shortening the distance between eco-friendliness and people's normal life. We can be eco-friendly without sacrificing things we care about, such as comfort and convenience or even our fashion taste in life because it’s inevitable for people to pursue these ideas, and this should be satisfied even if they want to protect the earth. I’ll keep brainstorming ideas in daily life. |
Mark I want to teach math skills to who has confusion about mathematics. I can achieve it through promoting this idea using social media such as Facebook, Instagram, etc. From my perspectives, frequent teaching and learning with different people is an important way to develop math skills. As a result, we can engage in extensive dialogue or, alternatively, be verbose because I think the careers related to mathematics involves an atmosphere with a lot of interaction in workplaces. |
(二)Reflections on Social Innovation Design 社會創新設計個人省思
Luna - Scholz & Volkmer A German company, Scholz & Volkmer, has created a shopping platform that hopes to use the delivery of goods to allow people in the community to reduce their carbon footprint and deliver things to their communities. They use Monday to Friday to deliver the goods. The downside is that people will become lazy. |
Katy - Kiezkaufhaus Community Shop The innovative and insightful element is that the project states the goal is under the circumstances of when distance is not a problem, how could the project help consumers decrease carbon footprint and also focusing on how nowadays under the influence of the internet, people stop talking with others near themselves but people on the internet. Moreover, providing people with a convenient way of buying daily needs. The project invites community-type merchants to join the logistics platform, and sets up specifically for that community to provide residents with a reasonable and diverse variety of goods, from daily necessities to books, coffee gifts, etc. So that local consumers can purchase the goods needed for daily life through this platform, thereby reducing the mileage of their carbon footprint. The most special thing is that local elders are responsible for the community logistics from Monday to Friday by bicycle, encouraging the elderly to continue to participate in society, rather than staying at home. On weekends, the station is closed, to encourage community residents to go out shopping, face-to-face communication with local businesses, and promoting community sentiment. |
Tina - Design for the other 90% It moves the focus of design from the 10% wealthy who can afford to pay to the 90% poor who need help. It aims to address the trend driven by capitalism, which pursues the highest profit and concentrates on people with power. It inspires us to think more about the disadvantages and the exploited individuals hidden behind a product. For example, besides considering price as a factor in purchasing, people are now also paying more attention to whether the trade involved is fair or not. |
Mark - Life-Saving Cable & Nar Donor Mobile Charging phones is a daily satisfaction, but it can lead to a greater act - donating blood, which saves lives. Connecting these two essentials highlights the importance of blood donation. |
Lucas - The New Baraka The New Baraka micro-website, created by the YOU Foundation, helps residents of the Baraka slum in Dakar, Senegal, rebuild their homes. The site uses bright colors and animations to show Baraka’s history and lists items needed for rebuilding, like seeds and school supplies. Donors can choose specific items to support, making donations easy and personal. This interactive design raised 1 million euros quickly and connected emotionally with donors. This project shows how innovative design can solve social problems and inspire change. |
Anthony – Vending Machine in Berlin The vending machine project in Berlin is clever. Instead of just selling T-shirts, it shows a video about how clothes are made and asks if you want to buy or donate. Most people choose to donate, which is awesome! It teaches about social issues and encourages people to help. It's all about the problems with fast fashion and how buying cheap clothes can hurt people. By raising awareness and giving people a chance to do good, this project is making a big difference. |
